Shauna Markey’s dedication to nurturing young talent and preparing students for success in the performing arts is at the heart of her illustrious career. In 1997, she founded THE STAR YOU ALREADY ARE, a pioneering program dedicated to coaching children and teenagers in TV/Film, Commercials, Musical Theater, and Voice-Overs. Over the years, Shauna has had the privilege of collaborating with outstanding performing arts programs such as LA Unified Educational Outreach, Musical Theatre West Educational Outreach, and several others, further expanding her impact on the industry.  

As an accomplished coach, Shauna has developed some of the brightest acting and singing talent.  Since 2020, she’s help produce 3 ‘Winners with Distinction’, 2 ‘Artists of the Year’, and 4 other clients Nationally recognized Wins with the esteemed National YoungArts competition.  Her clients have also earned recognition as National Jimmy Awards Top Finalists,  Jerry Herman Awards winners, Broadway San Diego Award winners, and 2 Grand Prize finalists for LA Music Center’s prestigious Spotlight Awards.  

Her commitment to excellence extends beyond coaching, as evidenced by her extensive career on National & International Tours, Broadway, and TV/Film, including starring roles on such hit shows like “Parks and Recreation”, “Desperate Housewives’, and appearances in approximately 80 national commercials.  With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and Acting, Shauna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her mentorship.

In the last five years alone, Shauna has achieved remarkable success in helping over 50 High School Seniors prepare and succeed in the challenge of being accepted to top tier BFA programs (Carnegie Mellon, University of Michigan, NYU Tisch…to name a few) for Musical Theater and Acting.  Through personalized coaching and mentorship, Shauna has guided her students to stand out and excel in auditions, securing coveted spots in numerous prestigious programs nationwide.

Moreover, Shauna’s expertise extends to preparing, directing, and delivering the most impactful and professional prescreen videos that college programs see. This meticulous attention to detail sets her students apart, providing them with a competitive edge in the highly selective admissions process.

Shauna’s impact is felt through her involvement with Trifecta Broadway Coaches, a boutique college & career audition training program. As a key coach within Trifecta, Shauna customized unique audition packages, produced highly effective prescreens, helped brand and market the artist, and provided extensive, all-inclusive training to help clients have a competitive edge in going after their top tier dream schools. 

Today, working independently as a College Prep and Acting Coach, Shauna’s influence continues to shape the future of performing arts, empowering aspiring artists to achieve their dreams and excel in their craft!
